STC activists accuse Saudi military command of attempting to kill leader of southern resistance

ADEN, March 13 (YPA) – Activists affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) have accused the leadership of the Saudi forces of attempting to assassinate the leader of the so-called “Southern Resistance” after the threats he made against the president of the Riyadh-formed “Presidential Council,” Rashad Al-Alimi.

Activists loyal to the STC have circulated, during the past two days, a picture of the Southern Resistance leader Abdulnasser Al-Ba’wah, known as “Abu Humam Al-Yafei,” who is in a hospital in Aden, saying that he “suffered from a health problem.”

The activists confirmed that the condition of Abu Hammam is unstable amid accusations of an attempt to assassinate him by unknown parties using “poison” for the second time.

This comes after the threats made by Abu Hammam at the end of February, announcing that Rashad al-Alimi will not return to Aden, considering that the legitimacy in the city belongs to the “southern resistance.”
