Meteorology Center warns citizens of dangers of floods

SANAA, March 13 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology on Monday warned citizens against being in the valleys and rain floods in the provinces that witness rain.

In its weather bulletin today, the center also warned drivers of vehicles on the mountain slopes of a decrease in the range of horizontal visibility during rains and as a result of the formation of fog.

The center alerted sea-goers and fishermen south of the western coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and the Gulf of Aden of sea turbulence and high waves.

In its weather forecast, the center had predicted moderate to heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms and hail showers at times during the afternoon and evening periods in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Mahweet, Hajjah, Dhamar, Rayma, Ibb, Bayda, Dhalea, Taiz, and Lahj.

The center pointed out that the rains may extend to separate parts of the provinces of Jawf, Marib, Shabwa, and Hadramout.
