Battles rage on all fronts in Taiz city

TAIZ, March 01 (YPA) – Armed clashes erupted on Tuesday in Taiz province, southern Yemen, between Sanaa forces and Saudi-led coalition forces on a number of fronts.

According to local sources, armed groups of Islah Party militia carried out two attempts to advance toward the air defense zone and “Osayfira” area and towards positions of Sanaa forces in the “Al-Ahtoub” area in Taiz’s western countryside.

The sources confirmed that the Sanaa forces were able to repel a third attack towards “Han” Mount and the “Hathran” valley in the west and forced the Islah militia groups to flee towards their positions west of Taiz city.

The battles extended from the north and west of the city towards the “Al-Aneen” area in the village of Bilad Al-Wafi of Jabal Habashi district.
