Transport Minister: Hodeida port is crowded with commercial ships

SANAA, Feb. 25 (YPA) – The Minister of Transport in the Sanaa Government, Abdulwahhab Al-Durra, said on Saturday that the berths of Hodeida Port are crowded with commercial ships being unloaded, while several others are waiting offshore to enter the port.

This came during a press conference held at the docks of Hodeida port today, in conjunction with the arrival of several ships carrying foodstuffs, construction materials, and oil derivatives, including a container ship with 724 containers of goods on board.

The Minister of Transport stated that the incoming ships started heading directly from the port of Djibouti to the Hodeida port immediately after the inspection without any delay.

Al-Durra explained that among the ships, 18 are heading from the shipping ports to the ports of Hodeida, Saleef, and Ras Issa, confirming that these ports receive all types of ships loaded with foodstuffs, oil derivatives, and containers.

He pointed out the keenness of the Red Sea Ports Corporation to provide facilities for navigational activity, to receive ships, and to quickly complete the necessary procedures.
