Yemeni Parliament condemns US-British role obstructing peace efforts

SANAA, Feb. 25 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament in Sanaa condemned on Saturday the relentless US-British role in obstructing peace efforts and Omani mediation efforts.

In a statement issued today, the Parliament confirmed its support for the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the Supreme Political Council regarding Sanaa’s warning to the Saudi-led coalition countries against obstructing peace efforts.

The Parliament deplored the coalition’s exploitation of the suffering of the Yemeni people by circumventing the declared stages of the truce to keep the situation in a state of no peace and no war, in addition to not dealing positively with the humanitarian file.

The Parliament’s statement called on the coalition regimes to take seriously the warnings of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the Supreme Political Council.

The Parliament praised the great and honorable popular rallies that the capital, Sanaa, and the provinces witnessed on Friday afternoon, in loyalty to the martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad and in solidarity with the Palestinian people against the repeated Zionist attacks.

The statement also affirmed the adherence of the Yemeni people and their leadership to their right to benefit from their wealth to pay the salaries of state employees and improve the level of service delivery to all Yemeni provinces.
