ADEN, Feb. 24 (YPA) – A woman caused sharp conflict between leaders of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) in the center of Aden.
Media sources explained that a dispute erupted between the governor of Aden, Ahmed Lamlas, and The Commander-in-Chief of the Counter-Terrorism Service, Shalal Shaye’a, was caused by a woman close to them, without mentioning her identity, or the reason for the dispute.
The sources confirmed that the dispute developed into a threat to liquidate the leader Lamlas and return his body to Shabwa, prompting the latter to strengthen his residence with armed elements from the Shabwa tribes to which he belongs.
The sources pointed out that Lamlas directed his companions to shoot at any armed groups from Dhalea, to which Shalal Shaye’a belongs, approaching his residence.
The differences developed in which Lamlas was intercepted and stopped by armed elements affiliated with Shalal Shae’a, and the latter uttered profanity against the governor affiliated with the coalition, according to recordings circulating on social media.
Shalal Shaye’a accused the governor of Aden of overturning the STC project in favor of the Al-Alimi Council and Tariq Afash, while the governor threatened to reveal the history of Shaye’a and one of his relatives before 2015 in Aden.
