Protest rally held in Taiz to denounce serious security deterioration

TAIZ, Feb. 23 (YPA) – Dozens of teachers and activists staged on Thursday a protest rally in the city of Taiz to denounce the serious security deterioration in the city, which is under the control of the Islah Party forces.

The rally came in the wake of the refusal of the leadership of the so-called 170th Brigade and the Taiz axis in the past days to hand over the murderer Omar Abdul Basit al-Qudsi to the security authorities, after the confessions of his participants in the assassination of the educator Anwar al-Sufi.

The coalition-held city of Taiz has witnessed security imbalances in light of the proliferation of unruly armed gangs.

Last Saturday, deputy Al-Ihsan School in the city, Anwar Al-Sufi, was assassinated while returning to his home in Al-Nour City.
