SANAA, Feb. 20 (YPA) – Russia accused on Sunday Kiev of intending to launch a nuclear attack on the Ukrainian territory, and to hold Moscow responsible.
The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that radioactive materials had been transferred to Ukraine from a European country, and that Kiev being prepared for a large-scale “provocation”.
“The aim of this provocation is to accuse the Russian army of allegedly launching indiscriminate attacks on dangerous radioactive facilities in Ukraine,” the statement added. This leads to leakage of radioactive materials and contamination in the area.”
Meanwhile, Ukraine and its allies rejected such accusations and describe them as attempts to spread disinformation, accusing Moscow of planning to carry out nuclear accidents, in an attempt to hold Ukraine responsible.
