HADRAMOUT, Feb. 19 (YPA) – A meeting of the pro-Emirati “Hadramout Inclusive Alliance” approved the reactivation of its activities in the districts of Wadi Hadramout.
Local sources familiar said that the meeting chaired by Salem Mubarak bin Sumaida, the head of the alliance, and in the presence of a number of leaders of the UAE-backed Transitional Council (STC) militias and social figures in Hadramout.
The sources added that the meeting issued a number of decisions aimed at restoring public and political events and activities, within the framework of what the participants described as “confronting the operations practiced by Riyadh of the districts of Wadi and Desert of Hadramout.”
“The meeting approved the implementation of a number of activities in the city of Seiyun to challenge any operations of ban imposed by Saudi Arabia and the militants of the Islah Party against the activities demanding the removal of the Islah militants and any foreign forces from Wadi and Desert districts.”
The sources said that the agreement to activate pro-UAE activities and demonstrations in Seiyun comes nearly a month after the pro-Abu Dhabi components committed themselves to restraint in the face of “continuous Saudi provocations in the Wadi district.
