Senior military commander loyal to coalition killed in Marib clashes

MARIB, Feb. 09 (YPA) – A senior military commander loyal to Saudi-led coalition forces was killed on Wednesday during confrontation with Sanaa forces in  southwest of the city of Marib.

Local sources in Marib governorate told Yemen Press Agency that the commander of the military police,  branch of Hajjah governorate, Colonel Mansour Siraj, was killed along with a number of officers and recruits, by Sana’a forces fire after they tried to march towards the positions of Sanaa forces, southwest of Marib city.

According to the sources, battles are still raging between the two sides.
