Purchased power plants in Lahj come out of service

LAHJ, May 07 (YPA) – The power generation stations purchased in Lahj province are still out of service due to the disconnection of the overhead network lines coming from Aden province, informed sources at the Electricity Corporation in Lahj said on Monday.

According to the sources, the generating stations stopped almost completely due to the lack of fuel necessary to operate them, which led to increased hours of power outages in Lahj, Aden, and Abyan for more than 20 hours during the summer, exacerbating the suffering of citizens.

This comes after the Al-Haswah thermal electric station in Aden completely stopped due to the depletion of oil derivatives allocated to the station.
