Update: Death toll from earthquake in Turkey rises to 7,000

SANAA, Feb. 08 (YPA) – The death toll in Turkey as a result of Monday’s earthquake has risen to 7,108, with 40,910 injured, according to the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority on Wednesday.

Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay announced earlier today that the death toll from the earthquake rose to 6,234 dead and 37,011 injured, explaining that the number of buildings that completely collapsed in the earthquake reached 5,775 buildings, according to non-final statistics.
