Sheikh Al-Halili denounces gov’t’s decision appointing advisor

SANAA, Feb. 05 (YPA) – Sheikh Yahya bin Ahmed Al-Halili, denounced on Sunday a decision made by the coalition-backed government to appoint him as an advisor to the so-called Minister of Awqaf residing in Riyadh.

Al-Halili said in a statement he was not honored by the decision issued by a partner in killing the Yemeni people and the destruction of more than 1,600 mosques, most of which are historical.

The statement affirmed that his position is clear by criminalizing aggression and its tools on Yemen.

Al-Halili has his scientific position in chairing the arbitration committees for memorizing the Holy Qur’an in the Holy Qur’an education sector in the Ministry of Guidance and Hajj and Umrah Affairs.
