Agriculture Minister discusses with FAO aspects of supporting agricultural activities

SANAA, Feb. 05 (YPA) – The Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Abdulmalik Al-Thawr, on Sunday discussed with the Deputy Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Yemen, Dr. Muhammad Sallam, aspects of cooperation between the two sides to support agricultural activities.

The meeting covered several topics, including the necessity of concentrating on supporting the implementation of expanded statistical surveys of cultivated lands in the Tihama area and Jawf province, supporting efforts to expand the cultivation of grain crops, the mechanism of cooperation between the two sides, and the potential for increasing support for agricultural initiatives and food security programs.
