3 Egyptians dead, 32 injured in major fire in hospital in Cairo
CAIRO, Feb. 01 (YPA) – At least 3 Egyptian citizens were killed, in an initial toll, and 32 others wounded in a major fire in a hospital in Cairo Governorate, Ministry of Health and Population in Egypt said on Wednesday.
The fire broke out in the radiology department inside the hospital, which is belonging to a non-governmental organization, according to the ministry.
Spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Health, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, pointed out that the injuries ranged from burns, fractures, and suffocation, and all the injured receive the necessary medical service.
The announced number of injuries was the initial toll, and follow-up is underway, the spokesman added.
