Bates Plant’s bus hijacked by UAE militias in Abyan

ABYAN, Jan. 29 (YPA) – A military commander in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias hijacked a bus belonging to the Unity Cement Company in Abyan province, south of Yemen.

Local news quoted an official source at the Unity Cement Company, Bates, in Abyan, that the son of the commander of the security belt operations in the STC made a phone call to the company’s management threatening to help him and going to Cairo for treatment, or that he would kidnap the chief engineer of the factory in the company, Engineer Mohamed Abdel Moneim.

The official calling on the leadership of the Abyan STC militia to take the necessary measures to prevent and repeat such behaviors.
