Sever cold weather to hit several Yemeni provinces

SANAA, Jan. 27 (YPA) – A cold to very cold weather is expected to hit several  Yemeni provinces during the late hours of the night and early morning during the next 24 hours, The National Center of Meteorology said on Friday.

In its weather bulletin, the center indicated that a cold to very cold weather to hit the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Dhalea, and West Al-Jawf with the possibility of frost in some parts of them.

The weather may be relatively cold in the high areas of Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout plateau and West Marib, according to the center.

It also expected very strong winds on the south of the western coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, with a maximum speed of more than 30 knots.

The center called on citizens and farmers to take the necessary precautions against the cold weather.
