Rural Water Authority discusses with UNICEF support for its strategic plan

SANAA, Jan. 25 (YPA) – The General Authority for Rural Water Projects on Thursday discussed in Sanaa with UNICEF the possibility of supporting the authority’s interim strategic plan for the years 1444-1447 AH, 2022-2026.

This came during the meeting gathered the Authority’s chairman, Adel Saleh Badir, with Head of the Water and Environmental Sanitation Department at UNICEF, George Tabbal, and the water specialist in the organization, Maysoon Al-Hajj.

The Authority’s tasks, its needs, and its plan submitted to UNICEF for the years 1444-2023 and 1445-2024 AD, and what it includes of water and sanitation projects in the regions were reviewed during the meeting.

The meeting also touched on the most important challenges facing the Authority in implementing rural water projects, most notably the scarcity of available funds, and ways to develop the necessary solutions and remedies to overcome the current challenges.
