MARIB, Jan. 25 (YPA) – A military leader of coalition’s forces was assassinated in the center of Marib city, which is controlled by the coalition forces, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.
The sources indicated that Colonel Ahmed Saleh Laheeb, a previous leader of coalition in Nehm front, was assassinated by an armed group was riding a car between Jabbul and Khasif areas in Wadi Obaidah.
The sources confirmed that the gunmen threw the body of Colonel Laheeb on the side of the road and looted his car and his personal weapon.
The sources also pointed out that the gunmen followed Colonel Laheeb while he was leaving with his military car from the government complex in Marib city towards the camp of the commander, Sheikh Ali al-Aqra’.
