ABYAN, Jan. 23 (YPA) – One gunman was killed and 5 others were injured on Monday in armed clashes erupting among the Saudi-led coalition factions in Abyan province, south of Yemen.
Local sources reported that unidentified gunmen detonated an explosive device targeting a vehicle belonging to the UAE-supported Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias in Wadi Omran area of Mudiya district.
On the other hand, violent clashes erupted between the STC’s militia and tribal gunmen in Al-Mahazra area in the same province, after storming a number of citizens’ homes, and kidnapping three residents.
