Devastating earthquake hits north of Argentina

SANAA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – A devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 on the Richter Scale hit the area of “Santiago Del Estero” in Argentina last night.

The Argentine media quoted the US Geological Survey as saying: “the earthquake struck at 22: 09 GMT at the junction of a latitude (26.721 South) and longitude (63.039 West).

The Geological Survey noted that the epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 610.7 kilometers.
