Three Palestinians injured, several arrested in Israeli raids in West Bank

WEST BANK, Aug. 06 (YPA) – Three Palestinians were wounded by Israeli occupation army gunfire and several others were arrested during early morning raids on Wednesday in Ramallah and Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Palestinian Red Crescent reported that a 9-year-old child was shot in the back with live ammunition, while two young men were also wounded by live fire to the thigh during an Israeli military incursion into Al-Ma’ari refugee camp in Ramallah.

Zionist special forces reportedly stormed the camp ahead of the main raid by military vehicles. During the operation, the Zionist forces arrested Yazan Haboub, a student at Birzeit University.

In Hebron, the occupation forces arrested journalist Farah Abu Ayyash from the town of Beit Ummar, north of the city.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation military has launched a wide-ranging and unprecedented arrest campaign across the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, detaining more than 18,000 Palestinians, according to prisoner advocacy groups.
