SANAA, Jan. 19 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology warned on Thursday citizens of a cold and dry air mass affecting large areas of mountainous provinces.
In its weather bulletin, the center expected a decrease in minimum temperatures by one to three degrees Celsius compared to the previous days, while the weather to be cold to very cold and dry with the possibility of light frost in Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda and Dhalea.
The weather may be cold in parts of the mountainous highlands in Ibb, Lahj, Taiz, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, and some areas of Jawf and Marib.
While strong winds, with a maximum speed of 26 knots, are blowing on the south of the western coast and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab.
The center warned citizens, especially the elderly, the sick, children, workers during the night and morning hours in the aforementioned provinces, of the drop in minimum temperatures.
