SANAA, Jan. 18 (YPA) – Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, on Wednesday met with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) representative in Yemen, Nestor Owomuhangi, to bid farewell to him on the occasion of ending his tenure.
The Prime Minister praised the humanitarian role played by the UNFPA during this exceptional period, and its contribution to alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the aggression and siege.
In turn, the UNFPA representative expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that prevailed in the Fund’s relations with various relevant government agencies in Sanaa.
Owomuhangi explained that the Fund carries out its activities with complete impartiality and with great consideration for the vision of the beneficiaries regarding priority projects and programs, expressing his wishes that the Yemeni people would enjoy comprehensive peace in the near future.
