Hadramout tribes take first steps to confront threats of pro-UAE militia

HADRAMOUT, Jan. 17 (YPA) – The so-called “Hadramout Tribes Alliance” on Tuesday began implementing the first steps in confronting the threats of the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia.

Head of the tribes alliance, Amr bin Habrish al-Ali, loyal to Saudi Arabia, instructed the formation of a registration committee to recruit 10,000 people from the Hadramout valley districts, in implementation of the Sayoun meeting, in the first week of January.

The administrative order No. “1” issued by the alliance stipulated the formation of a registration committee headed by Salem Omar Bashadi, and a number of other officers and non-commissioned officers from the valley district.

This comes after the pro-UAE governor of Hadramout, Mabkhout bin Madhi, rejected during a meeting with a number of Saudi leaders last week in Sayoun, any recruitment process outside his authority.
