OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Jan. 16 (YPA) – A child was critically injured this morning during an Israeli occupation army assault on Deheisheh refugee camp in the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
According to Palestinian sources, a large Israeli occupation army unit raided Deheisheh camp and searched homes to arrest activists.
During the raid, camp youths pelted the forces with stones, who replied by firing live ammunition and tear gas canisters at the youths shooting a child with a live bullet in the head.
The child was rushed to hospital where he was reported in critical condition.
The soldiers left the camp after detaining a 24-year-old youth following a raid at his family home.
