MOGADISHU, Jan. 04 (YPA) – At least 19 people were killed on Wednesday when two car bombs exploded in central Somalia, which was claimed by the extremist Al-Shabab movement.
International agencies reported that two simultaneous attacks with two booby-trapped cars in Hiraan region in central Somalia left 19 dead.
This comes after the statements of the local security official, Abdullah Adan, who said: “Terrorists attacked the town of Mahas, using two booby-trapped vehicles.”
The official accused the militants of the takfiri group “Al-Shabab” linked to Al-Qaeda of carrying out the attack in retaliation for the intensive military operations launched by the Somali government against it recently.
