The Financial Times predicts power outages in Europe, Erdogan to remain in power in 2023

WORLD, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The British newspaper “Financial Times”, in its forecast for 2023, said that European countries may experience power outages during the next year.

Power outages could occur until April if the weather is too cold, but after the winter will be a “more complicated problem” due to difficulties in filling gas storage facilities, because Russian gas supply in 2023 “will approach zero.”

Among other forecasts, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will retain his post by the end of the year, although he will look like he is “more besieged”.

The newspaper believes that US President Joe Biden will decide to run for a second term, but some other democrats may consider the possibility of running.

The newspaper also assumed that charges would be filed next year against former US President Donald Trump.

According to paper, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will remain in power, despite his “declining popularity.”

China will be able to return economic growth to values above five percent, and most likely will not attack or blockade Taiwan in 2023.

According to the paper, the protests in Iran will likely continue in one form or another, and the social network “Twitter” will continue to operate despite the chaos caused by Elon Musk’s purchase of the platform and despite its increasing losses.
