Protest vigils held in several provinces, denouncing coalition’s continued aggression, siege

PROVINCES, Dec. 31 (YPA) – Protest vigils were organized in the governorates of Sanaa, Hodeida, Hajjah, and Marib, Friday, to denounce the practices of the US-backed Saudo-led aggression, its blockade, and its intransigence in paying the salaries of state employees and lifting the suffering of the people of Yemen.

The participants in the vigil affirmed their refusal to extend the truce as a result of the procrastination of the US-Saudi aggression, in stopping the aggression, lifting the siege, paying the salaries of state employees, and releasing the prisoners.

Statements issued by the sit-downs denounced the attempts of the US-Saudi aggression to plunder the country’s wealth and build military bases in the occupied governorates.

The participants explained that the battle of the people of Yemen with the US-Saudi aggression is the battle to gain the country’s sovereignty and its exit from hegemony by mobilizing efforts to confront it.

They also affirmed their stand by the army and people’s committees in defense of the homeland, its security and stability.

They held the UN and human rights organizations responsible, as a result of their continued silence regarding the crime of the blockade imposed on the people of Yemen, and the piracy of fuel ships.
