Armed clashes broke out between pro-coalition factions north Marib

MARIB, Dec. 31 (YPA) – Armed clashes broke out on Friday between gunmen of the so-called “Sixth Military Region” loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, and the elements of “Al-Tahseen” Point belonging to Islah Party militants, in north of Marib city.

The sources confirmed that the command of the “Sixth Region” demanded that the site of the point be handed over to its gunmen, which was met with refusal by the leader known as “Abu Nasser” affiliated with the Islah Party.

The refusal to hand over the point developed into bloody confrontations with light and medium weapons, without mentioning the material and human losses left behind.

The situation is still tense between the militants, amid reports of the influx of military reinforcements from both sides, according to the sources.
