Abyan governor warns coalition of handing over province to Al-Qaeda

SANAA, Dec. 30 (YPA) – Abyan governor, Saleh Al-Junaidi, appointed by Sanaa authorities, warned on Thursday the forces of the Saudi-led coalition backed by the US against handing over the province to terrorist organizations.

In a news statement to Saba News Agency, Al-Junaidi revealed a Saudi-American plan that seeks to strengthen the influence of terrorist organizations and redeploy them on a large scale in Abyan, in return for weakening any other military and security influence.

He pointed out that the new plot began after the announcement of the so-called “Arms of the East” operation months ago, being implemented by forces loyal to the aggression coalition in the province under direct Saudi supervision.

The governor accused the countries of the coalition of draining the living forces in the province by imaginary process that aims to open war of attrition targeting the people of the province, who were deceived by the coalition forces in favor of the forces of terrorism.

He stressed that the escalation of military ambushes and bloody attacks during the recent period in a number of areas that some forces claimed to have cleared of terrorist elements came within the framework of preparing to hand over the province to terrorist organizations, stating that those forces began to withdraw from some of those areas in favor of Al-Qaeda, which is what it is a gradual handover of regulation.

The governor of Abyan held the countries of aggression coalition responsible for turning the province into a den of terrorism and an open battlefield for the liquidation of its loyalists, most of whom are from Abyan, calling on the wise men of the province to renounce differences and unify ranks to save the province from a complete fall into the hands of the terrorist organization under Saudi sponsorship and an American directive.
