Sanaa helps 73 migrants leave Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 29 (YPA) – About 73 migrants in Yemen have expressed their wish to voluntarily return to Ethiopia through Sanaa international airport.

Director General of Follow-up and Deportation at the Department of Immigration, Passports and Nationality Authority in Sanaa, Hussein Al-Kibsi, said the process came as part of the voluntary repatriation program for immigrants from the Horn of Africa, who entered Yemen illegally.

He explained that this flight was the third of several flights planned by Sanaa with IOM to help 500 illegal immigrants return to their countries.

Al-Kibsi affirmed that the process was made in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and came also within the framework of the efforts made by the leadership of the Department to return illegal immigrants to their home.

Al-Kibsi stressed that the Saudi-led coalition forces, with their control of the seas and most of the land outlets in the occupied provinces, have supported the infiltration of illegal immigrants into the areas under the authority of Sanaa, with the goal of flooding the country with illegal immigrants, due to their economic damage and security risks to the country.
