Lavrov: The US is threatening to physically eliminate Russian President Vladimir Putin

WORLD, Dec. 27 (YPA) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that statements made by US officials from the Pentagon about a “beheading strike” to Kremlin are in fact a threat of physical liquidation of Russian head of state.

“Washington went further than everyone, there, some officials from the Pentagon threatened to strike the Kremlin, in fact, we are talking about a threat of physical liquidation of the Russian head of state,” the Russian foreign minister said in a statement to TASS.

Lavrov warned that “if someone sponsors such ideas, he should think carefully about the possible consequences of such plans.”

He also recalled actions and references of Western officials to a nuclear confrontation, adding: “It seems that they have completely abandoned tact. It is clear that Liz Truss [former British prime minister] announced during the pre-election debate that she was fully prepared to order a nuclear strike.”

The Russian Foreign Minister referred to the provocations committed by the Kiev regime, saying: “Not to mention the extralogical provocations of the Kiev regime

Vladimir Zelensky (Ukrainian president) went so far as to call on NATO countries to launch pre-emptive nuclear strikes on Russia. This also goes beyond what is acceptable.”
