SHABWA, Dec. 20 (YPA) – Shabwa tribes gave on Tuesday Islah militants 48 hours to leave the “Arin” camp, east of Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.
This came in a rally organized by the Shabwa tribes, who arrived in “Armaa” area to support the popular sit-in of the people of the eastern districts to expel the Islah militants from the camp.
The tribes threatened to storm the Arin camp and expel the Islah militants from the province or a military confrontation.
The UAE-affiliated Southern Transitional Council pushed the tribes of the eastern districts of the province 36 days ago to demand the last Islah camps in the Arama area to leave.
In early August, the UAE expelled the Islah militants following clashes with the its militias of the so-called Shabwa Defense and al-Amaliqa.
