MAHRA, Dec. 20 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias pushed on Tuesday a number of its leaders to the province of Mahra.
Southern media reported that the STC sent the leaders, headed by the head of its branch in Shabwa, Ali al-Jabwani, to Mahra, accompanied by armed men, in a move that was rejected by the Mahri forces, which considered it an attempt to spread chaos.
The STC’s delegation had begun to review its arrangements a few days ago in Al-Rudoud area in Wadi Hadramout, as part of its attempts to pressure to go out the forces of the First Military Region.
The transfer of the STC’s delegations from Wadi Hadramout to Mahra came on the eve of his opponents turning the table by announcing the Hadrami Day as a prelude to the independence of the oil province, which the transitional clings to its subordination to his authority in Aden.
