19 killed, 32 wounded in Kabul fuel tank explosion

KABUL, Dec. 18 (YPA) – At least 19 people were killed and 32 other were injured on Sunday when a fuel tank exploded in the famous “Salang” tunnel that connects Parwan and Baghlan north of the Afghan capital, Kabul.

Among victims were children and women, according to the Associated Press.

Afghan officials confirmed that there are trapped under the rubble, while rescue teams continue their work to search for survivors.
