DHALEA, Dec. 13 (YPA) – Gunmen believed to belong to extremist groups blew up a dam on which the people officially rely to provide drinking water and agriculture in Al-Dhalea province, southern Yemen.
Media outlets reported, quoting sources, that gunmen detonated, on Monday evening, Al-Nakhila Dam in Al-Azariq district in Dhalea.
The sources added that the bombing came several days after the spread of armed men wearing Afghan uniforms.
Activists circulated pictures of armed men in Afghan uniforms roaming the valleys carrying snipers and binoculars. They stated that the gunmen are attacking nature and wild animals, and are working to hunt hyrax and osprey.
