Dozens of flights delayed or canceled at Moscow airports due to snowfall

MOSCOW, Dec, 12 (YPA) – More than 54 flights have been delayed and eight others canceled at Moscow airports due to rain and snow.

According to the data of the Yandex Schedule, in Vnukovo, ten flights were delayed and three were cancelled.

17 flights were delayed in Domodedovo, four were cancelled.

In Sheremetyevo, the departure of 20 aircraft was delayed, three more flights were canceled.

In the last two days, central Russia has seen a strong snowstorm and heavy rainfall.

Russia’s Emergencies Ministry issued an emergency weather warning on Sunday, amid expectations that record amounts of snow could exceed the daily record set in 1960.
