Lawdar tribes refuse to bury Al-Najdi after he was killed in UAE-run prison

ABYAN, Dec. 11 (YPA) – Tribes of the district of Lawdar in Abyan province, have on Sunday threatened to launch war on the UAE-backed militia after one of their sons was killed due to brutal torture inside one of their prisons.

Local sources in the province confirmed that the Lawdar tribes refused to bury the body of Hilmi Al-Najdi, after his death due to the torture inside a prison of the “Security Belt” militia, led by “Saddam Gharama” last week, affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)

The tribes considered the killing of Al-Najdi under torture is an unforgivable crime, especially since it was committed within 3 days.

The sources pointed out that the STC militia transferred the body to Lawdar Hospital without notifying his family of the incident, indicating that the dead have traces of torture on his body.

It reported that the commander of the STC militia in Abyan refused to hand over those involved in torturing al-Najdi, and granted them  worked to protect them.
