Pro-coalition Jawf governor accuses Islah Party of rebelling

SANAA, Dec. 08 (YPA) – The newly appointed governor of the coalition-backed government in Jawf province, Hussein Al-Awadi, accused the Islah party of rebelling against the decision of the Saudi-formed Presidential Leadership Council, headed by Rashad Al-Alimi on Jawf proivnce.

Al-Awadi said on Facebook that the Party refused to complete the process of receiving and handing over with the former governor and detainee in Saudi Arabia, Amin Al-Akimi.

“We were surprised by the refusal of the previous administration of the governorate to deal with the committee formed by Ministry of Local Administration for receiving and handing over between us and the predecessor governor,” he added.

This position was preceded by a statement by the Islah Party branch in Jawf rejecting the decision of Al-Alimi to appoint Al-Awadi as a governor for Jawf, followed by tribal arguments.

Al-Awadi called on the Islah Party to have a position on what is happening, and to implement the decisions of what he called “legitimacy.
