WORLD, Dec. 08 (YPA) – The UK will spend around A$230 million on the purchase of NLAW anti-tank systems, compensating for systems delivered to Ukraine as military assistance, The Times Newspaper reported .
The paper said: “The government has announced a £229m deal with the Saab military-industrial complex to buy Sweden’s NLAW anti-tank missiles.
Sources in the British Ministry of Defence said that Ukraine had received about 7,000 anti-tank missiles from UK, which is almost half of the British army’s stockpile.
The new batch of NLAW anti-tank missiles will arrive in 2024, and the full supply of the British Army to the deal will end in 2026.
