UAE-backed son of ex-president al-Baid calls southerns for separation

ADEN, June 27 (YPA) – Son of former exiled President Ali Salem al-Baid on Wednesday called on the UAE-backed southern separatist groups to impose separatist state and declar a southern independent state.

“The situation is ready for you to impose a transitional authority and declare Aden as a capital of the southern Yemen country, Yanouf, who is exiled along with his father in United Arab Emirates said on his Twitter account.

The UAE forces occupied Aden and southern cities in late 2015 and have been running the south since then. The UAE has encouraged the south to scede from north and re-establish former independent southern Yemen.
