Pro-STC senior leader assassinated in Aden

ADEN, Dec. 03 (YPA) – A leader of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia was killed on Saturday in the city center of Aden, south of Yemen.

Sources familiar with the matter said that Mohammed Al-Afifi, a commander of so-called Support Brigades, was killed after he was attacked by unknown gunmen on a car in Al-Mamdara neighborhood, Sheikh Othman area.

The sources added that the gunmen fired directly at Al-Afifi, and detonated a hand grenade near him, during which a citizen who was near the scene of the accident was injured.

Aden city, which is controlled by militias with multiple loyalties to Saudi Arabia and the UAE, is witnessing a state of security chaos and hundreds of assassination crimes .
