Islah party empties several ammunition depots in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Dec. 01 (YPA) – A leadership of the “First Military Region” affiliated to Islah Party, in Wadi Hadramout, emptied a number of weapons stores and distributed them to its loyalists in the city of Seiyun.

Local sources reported that the leadership directed to distribute 60mm mortars and machine guns of various calibers, in addition to light weapons and a large amount of ammunition, to its loyalists, including members of Al-Qaeda, in preparation for the upcoming confrontations with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia.

The sources indicated that Islah Party claimed that the depots had been stolen, for the fourth time.

The sources accused the region’s staff of the war, Yahya Abu Awja, of distributing weapons to the tribesmen to counter the Emirati threats to control the districts of the Wadi.

This came after Emirati mobilizations in the camps of the “Second Military Region,” and the arrival of military leaders from the areas of Dhalea, Yafea, and Abyan, to al-Mukalla.
