French President arrives in Washington for 3-day state visit

WORLD, Nov. 30 (YPA) – French President Emmanuel Macron arrived Tuesday evening in the United States for a 3-day state visit, during which he will meet his American counterpart, Joe Biden.

The French president’s plane landed at Andrews Air Force Base in suburban Washington. he was received by US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman.

This is Macron’s second state visit to the United States, and his first under Biden.

The French president hopes that this visit will contribute to giving impetus to his diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine, and to defend the French view that rejects the US protectionist approach.

This will be the first state visit organized by the United States under Biden’s rule.
