STC deploys its militants near Al-Ma’ashiq Presidential Palace in Aden

ADEN, Nov. 30 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) deployed its militants near the Al-Ma’ashiq Presidential Palace in the occupied Yemen’s southern port city of Aden

Sources said that the STC deployed “the so-called “Presidential Al-Asifah Forces” in a bid to block the way to Saudi demands to form presidential protection forces from the forces of Tariq Affash to be under the command of the head of the Riyadh-formed  Presidential Council Rashad Al-Alimi.

The sources added that the new force was formed from the forces of the “Storm Brigade” led by Osan Al-Anshli, who is described as the Yemeni arm of the President of the Transitional Council, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi.

The sources pointed out that disputes are still raging over the forces that will assume the protection of Al-Ma’ashiq Presidential Palace since May 22 after the STC forces insulted Tariq Affash and his companions and prevented them from celebrating Unity Day.

Al-Alimihad accompanied Tariq Afash on a visit to Jordan before heading today with him to the UAE to discuss this problem.
