STC leaders warn of uprising in Aden

ADEN, Nov. 19 (YPA) – Leaders of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) announced an angry uprising in the center of the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

“The Staff officer of the so-called the” First Support Brigade”, Maeen al-Magrahi, announced an uprising, Sunday, starting from the Bir Ahmed area, against the government, loyal to the Saudi-led coalition,” the editor-in-chief of the” Aljarida Post”, Adel Almadwary said in a tweet on Saturday.

The sources pointed out that the uprising is demanding the payment of the dues and salaries of the militia in the so-called “security belts”, with all its formation which have not been paid since the past months.

Al-Magrahi called on the STC’s factions to flock to the Bir Ahmed area and move towards the areas of the city of Aden.

Southern activist Abu Mersal Dahmasi said that the salaries of the STC factions will sooner or later lead to the explosion of situation in the city of Aden, warning the coalition that the city might be out of control.

He pointed out that the policy of humiliation and starvation by the coalition, the Riyadh Presidential Council, and its government will not be long, and that all options for the STC factions are open.

Dahmasi called on the STC factions to escalate in order to take their rights.
