Coalition calls for STC militia to hand over Aden city

ADEN, Nov. 15 (YPA) – Head of the coalition-backed government, Maeen Abdul-Malik, demanded the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias to handover the city of Aden, south of Yemen.

This came during his extraordinary meeting held on Tuesday in Aden, according to media outlets.
During the meeting, he reiterated the necessity of collecting all the legal and statutory revenues of the state in Aden, in a new accusation of the STC in the city of looting it.

The meeting called on the STC to take measures to improve the service of citizens and secure their needs.

Aden’s revenue file came at a time when the STC adhered to dismissing the head of coalition government as the prime minister, and arranging for a popular escalation to overthrow Maeen, in light of the faltering efforts to dismiss him politically.
