UAE pushes striking military force to storm Islah camps in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Nov. 14 (YPA) – The UAE has prepared a striking military force to storm the Islah camps in various Wadi Hadramout.

Sources familiar with the matter said on Monday the UAE has worked during the past few days to gather hundreds of elements that it had brought from Dhalea, Abyan, Shabwa and Yafa in Lahj to Barshid camp, west of Mukalla city of Hadramout, in addition to the recruits that UAE trained in the “Second Military Region” and Al-Rayyan Airport, in preparation for launching a decisive war against Islah militants in Seiyun.

The sources pointed out that the military force, including about 30,000 recruits trained by American officers and two emirates in the camps of the second region and Al-Rayyan airport, being prepared to be directed towards the districts of Wadi, to form the so-called new Hadrami elite replacing the militants of the “First region”, under the pretext of ending the so-called security chaos in the Wadi.

The sources indicated that these forces were distributed to specialized battalions, including protecting oil facilities and companies, incursions and combating terrorism.

The sources indicated also that the UAE and Saudi Arabia entrusted the task of clearing the Wadi’s districts of gunmen of the Saudi-backed Islah leader, Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, to Hadramout governor, Mabkhout bin Madi, loyal to the UAE, after his return from Riyadh and Abu Dhabi in early October.

Earlier, spokesman of the so-called Hadrami Uprising, Marai Al-Tamimi, vowed this week to expel Al-Islah militants from the districts of Wadi and Al-Sahra, when the zero hour was announced.

Most of the tribes of Wadi Hadramout declared their support for the so-called “Hadrami Uprising,” amid a military mobilization of Islah militants in the province, with fears of an upcoming offensive operation.
