SOCOTRA, April 24 (YPA) – A number of Emirati and Israeli officers have arrived on Abdul-Kuri Island in the occupied Yemeni Socotra Archipelago, east of the Gulf of Aden.
Informed sources said, “A group of Emirati and Israeli officers, estimated at 19, arrived in Abdul-Kuri last Monday on board an Emirati civilian plane to camouflage their official mission.”
The sources added that the arrival of the Emirati and Israeli officers came after the arrival of British and Israeli military experts during the past weeks to Abdul-Kuri, which came in conjunction with the continuation of Yemeni military operations against Israeli, American, and British ships in the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden, and the Red Sea, in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
The sources stated that the repeated visits by Emirati and foreign officers aimed at completing the preparations for the Israeli military base that it established in cooperation with the UAE during the year 2022.
This occurred while the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, which claims legitimacy, continues to turn a blind eye to the American, Israeli, and Emirati military actions on the island, as if the matter does not concern it after the massive displacement of people during the past years.
Last March, America officially announced the installation of air defenses to protect Israeli ships from Yemeni military operations under the pretext of “confronting Iran.”
A report issued by the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) last November confirmed that the Zionist entity deployed its own sensors on Abdul Kuri Island to confront “Iranian” missiles and drones.
